Parental Controls on Technicolor Routers
Technicolor routers offer basic time-based parental control features. These allow you to restrict internet access for specific devices during certain times and days—but not by website or content category.
Step-by-Step Setup
Access the Router Interface
✓ Connect to your home Wi-Fi or use an Ethernet cable.
✓ Open a browser and go to: http://192.168.1.1
✓ Log in using the admin username and password (usually found on the bottom of the router).
Navigate to Parental Controls
✓ From the main dashboard, go to Devices.
✓ Click on the Time Control tab.
Create Access Rules
✓ Click Add New Rule.
✓ Select the device you want to restrict using its MAC address.
✓ Choose whether to block or allow access during the specified time.
✓ Set the Start Time, Stop Time, and Days of the Week.
✓ Click Save to apply the rule [1] [2].
Limitations
✓ You cannot block specific websites or categories.
✓ Controls are limited to time-of-day access only.
